4 doors lower to the ground and rear wheel drive..........Gets about 31 Hwy 27 City and has 8 spd auto. Got a great deal and honestly, this old disabled veteran couldn't take the FX4 that drove like a C-130 anymore. Not saying their isn't another FORD in my future. But for now I'll drive the **** out of this Charger to where I gotta go.

When a car company goes into bankruptcy twice, they are obviously doing something wrong. They should have saved GM and let Chrysler fail back in 09. Now they are owned by Fiat, the Chrysler of the European car market. I think they bought them to improve their image, your image must be pretty bad if you need to buy up Chrysler to improve it.

I've driven a few of them as rentals. A couple V6's and one Hemi, not impressed with either. They weren't terrible, but there's definitely better cars out there for the money. The interior is awful, but the driving characteristics were decent. The Challenger interior is better, but still very plain and cheap. The Ford Taurus and Mustang are hands-down better cars in every aspect.
I will say that I just got finished driving a brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee for a week and would seriously consider buying one if I was in the market. Interior was fantastic, good power/handling, and tons of features (heated/cooled seats and steering wheel, panoramic moonroof, nice NAV system, etc). The 8speed tranny was smooth, but I'd still wonder about reliability with the engine and tranny in the Jeep.

My dad had a 1997 grand cherokee. It had over 180k miles when he got rid of it. Jeep's reputation, I think, is too important for Chrysler to screw that up. They probably place more attention on their Rams and Jeeps than other vehicles, as they are most likely their best sellers. Had I not picked up my Bronco, I was going to look for a Wrangler for a toy.

The new Grand Cherokees are absolutely nothing like any that came before it. When you think "Jeep," this is nothing like what comes to mind. I love them and was floored the few first time I drove one.
I would have to give it up after a few years though, unless it surprisingly didn't have issues.
And don't even get me started on the 392 SRT Cherokees . . . even though they're super overpriced.
