Need help

Hey guys. I'm new to this website. So I'm just now figuring out how to use it. I have a 2004 fx4 that is leveled 1.5-2 inches. I currently have Nitto terra grapplers (265/70r17) on it and wanna go bigger. Just wondering what would be the largest tire size I could put on it.

Patience is key..., a leveling kit helps out some but you still have to factor in, what size rims you have, what your offset will be and a few other factors, with that leveling kit you could run 305 with no rubbing up to 325 with a little rubbing, but like i said thats all according to your rim size and your offset as well....

Me saying the rim size is if you get after market rims that is,

I may be mistaken but with your leveling kit and it being a 4wd, you SHOULD be able to fit 35-12.50-17 on it with minimum to no rubbing, anything bigger will be really pushing it there

Need to know offset/backspacing and width of the wheel. Otherwise any tire size is just a guess and could be completely wrong.

315/70R17 on stock rims. 295/70R17s on almost all aftermarket.

I'd actually say the opposite. My opinion though. 295/70/17s are small @ 33.2" and would fit without a level.

I'd run 315/70/17 if it were mine. Buddy of mine ran those for years on similar wheels with 2.5" added up front and zero issues. Duratrac tires. Went offroading with him often too. You might have a tad of rubbing being a little lower than 2.5", but nothing major and trimming would likely take care of most or all of it.

You can run 35 nitto mud grapplers with very little rubbing. A 9" wide rim with +12 offset would have no rubbing.
