Post 4.6L vacuum gauge readings?

Hi,

Does anybody else have a vacuum gauge installed in their trucks? I keep getting 0 at 2000 rpm and stays there for a few seconds. Has anybody else had this problem before?

Thanks

At idle it reads 17 to 22 but on the highway for the most part its on zero until it decides to drop till 10 at cruise control at 65 mph. I have noticed it takes a while for the torque converter to lock?

You probably don't have it connected directly to a manifold vacuum source, it sounds like it's going through some type of solenoid or switch.

Yes you are right, I have it in a tee connection to a line running to the iwe solenoid on the passenger side. What would be the best line to connect it to?

Something that goes DIRECTLY to the intake manifold.
