Truck won't start
 

2006 F150 supercrew lariat.

For the past 12 months my truck refuses to start after it's been driven. It simply fails to even turn over for around 4-5 minutes..every time it's driven. After sitting for that amount of time it starts....always.

Today the truck finally died for good. Won't start at all. I've actually been waiting for this as my previous attempts to get it fixed at the dealer were met by "It started for us."

Before I call the tow truck I'm checking with the forum to see if others have seen issues like this... I like knowing what to expect when I talk to the dealer.

Here's the info I hope helps you help me.
1) In the no start condition the anti theft light on the top of the dash doesn't change. It blinks at the same rate it does when sitting. When it starts it goes solid. I've never seen the fast blink that people seem to see when it's a PATS issue.
2) My gas gauge doesn't work. Been that way for 3 years. After spending $400 on a sending unit and partial wiring harness I gave up trying to fix it. Dealer said "maybe PCM, maybe inst. cluster. $600+ each and we'll try one and then the other." I learned to reset my odometer and drive fast around corners as a failsafe -- the hesitation meant that I had ~2 gallons left.
3) I had a check engine light go on once a couple months back but it cleared itself so I didn't get it. Cheap handheld scanner failed trying to read codes. I know that same scanner used to work 3 years ago when the gas gauge stopped.
4) Accessories do come on in key position 1, the anti theft light just doesn't change. Trying to start puts all dashes on the computer display.

Thoughts? I'd like to give the dealer as much info as possible.
