Hi there, I have a 2007 4.2L V6 regular cab 2WD f150 and I'm looking for other ford drivers opinions on what they think of my truck currently as its a work in progress. I don't have a clue how to attach photos with this post but you can see photos if you click on my username, Honest opinions are appreciated. What I've done so far includes towing mirrors, window tint, recon headlights, 17" wheels which I do not like and will be replacing, 35's on a 6 inch fabtech suspensions and 3 inch performance accessories body lift.
That v6 is going to be a pooch with 35s. If you insist though, a re gear will be needed.
Never mind, I see you already have 35s... never the less, I would be concerned about trans longevity without a regear.

I would get some 4.56 gears and a truetrac first.
Then get some white paint and do the upper valance (the black plastic above the bumper/below the headlights)
PTM mirror caps and door handles.
Remote turbo...

Go 4.56, if not 4.88 if you plan to go above 35" in the future because you could likely clear some 37s. That V6 needs all the help it can get.
Good looking rig though! Painting all the plastic on the front end would be money extremely well spent and would drastically improve the looks of the entire truck. I actually painted my mirror caps with Plastidip last night just to see how I'd like it before I actually have them professionally painted at some point, but it matched the "work truck" Oxford white we have pretty close. Even spending $25 on some plastidip for the front end would be great until you can/want to do it professionally. You can check out mine here:

You'll be perfectly fine for a month without the regear. Gotta love having only 1 pumpkin to regear

Thanks! Whenever I'm able to lift mine, it'll likely be a 6+3 in the exact brands you've got (I'm 2wd too) so I like being able to see a little final product in yours! I want towing mirrors like yours too, but those have to accompany a lift.
Ya man, 6+3 is perfect in my opinion I'm taller then 4x4s with a 6 but not I'm not so tall I can barely see anything so it's great, very nice combo. The towing mirrors are a must have with the lift as well the bottom mirror makes it soooo much easier to back your rear tire right up to whatever. Is the plastidip easy to apply?
I may do a 6(+2" level)+3 so that I can clear 37 on high offset wheels cause that's what I'm set on doing for the moment. But I'm a ways away from being able to lift. I believe ya though, I love how they look, but I'm really after the awesome added visibility! The plastidip is super easy though. I cleaned my mirrors off the best I could and then sprayed it directly on. No sanding(I didn't know how it would make them look if/when I remove the PD; I think it's fine because of the way that it adheres and just "sits" on top), no primer, nothing special, so it's even easier than normal spray paint.
I had a level in the front of mine before the suspension lift, but I removed it once the suspension was put in because they are built to level the truck so if I kept the level in the front would sit much to high. If you're going to go that route I'd add a leaf at the back or a block just so it's still level. I picked up a can might do the bumper today if not sometime this week.
