Other than the issue of having to figure out adjusting the headlight protector / brush guard / wing thingies.... it took a solid day getting everything bolted, unbolted, bolted, and wired up. Due to the incredibly poor documentation, I had to install / remove the upper brackets like 4 times before I got them on right...

Once the guard / mount was on, installing the lights and winch was literally a half hour affair. Took me longer trying to figure out where my winch hook was than anything...

If you dont mind me asking, about how much did you pay for everything? I see the winch bumper grille guards are $400-$1000 on CarID. Hard to price it out with that range haha.

Well, my self extraction toolkit is nearing completion...

So far I have...

  2. Engo E9000 9K lb winch.
  3. Engo winch cover.
  4. Harbor Freight 19" ballistics nylon tool bag.
  5. ProLine 20,000 LB ****** block
  6. Keeper 30,000 LB vehicle recovery strap.
  7. Keeper 6' 20,000 LB tree trunk saver strap

The winch cover is in.... It was back ordered.

I managed to do something stupid and break the first hook on the winch (LONG story, not the hook, or the winches fault). I was able to get replacement hooks from a local trailer supply shop, but not the loop. Joel @ Engo happily tossed a new hook and the strap in the box with the cover. Awesome service for sure!

The cover itself is pretty simple, just a neoprene cover with an elastic hoop sewn in the bottom, and the Engo name screen printed on it... I highly doubt it will do much against sticky, salty beach sand, but it WILL keep most of the spray off of it... Kind of a big deal since this is a steel cable...
