Stuck injector

I have a 2005 F150 4x4 5.4 with just over 150,000 miles. On they way home from work today felt a miss that progressively got worse. The fuel light just came on so I stopped for gas but thatdidn't fix the issue. Went home and let the motor cool down and when I went to fire it up it fired up like a flooded motor. Real bad fuel smell and loading up at idle. Traced the issue to the left bank, unplug all the injectors and it starts running better. I know the 05's have an injector issue and I now want to replace them all..... question is should I go OEM or is there a better aftermarket injector out there?

Thank you, Larry

The OEM's you will find for sale now are all the improved version.

The 05 injectors were contracted by a different vendor and Ford got some bad ones in there which is why they had to start the 07M08 injector warranty extension program for owners of 05 5.4 3v engines . Ford changed back to the original vendor and never had another issue. Unfortunately you're well outside the 07M08 warranty range. I had one stick and hydrolock my engine which snapped a rod and Ford replaced the short block and the bad injector at no cost. I paid to have the other seven replaced. This was at 72,000 miles and I'm at 115,000 miles now and she runs like a champ.

Pulled fuel rail, left front injector looked like a garden hose was spraying out of it. I didn't realize how much gas those things can move...lol. Napa had a new one in stock and put it in, truck is back to running great as usual but I am defiantly going to go ahead and replace them all with new ones so this does not happen again........

Remember to change your oil because of all the fuel contamination and diluting. Also make sure it didn't ruin your cats, which is quite possible if they got that quanity of excess fuel.
