hi, there i am new to the sight and am new to working on my truck. I am just wondering if there are any worthy upgrades i can make to my 2006 f150 xlt with a 5.4L that will give it more hp. I have already installed a programmer, flowmaster exhaust, and CAI by ROUSH.

If you have any info on a HP gain please let me know.

 

Is your programmer custom tuned for that CAI? If not, you are running lean and losing power.

All the exhaust and CAI did was make it SOUND like it has more power........

 

^agreed. A custom tune'll run ya about $50, they're worth it. Poke around and check out the different threads on the forum for some more info, you'll find anything you might want to know

 

That assumes your programmer will even take custom tunes.

 

They pretty much hit the nail on the head. Look into a PHP Gryphon.

 

Or a SCT tuned by any of the decent mailorder tuners - or a Diablo with that specific CAI tune.

 

Pretty much any custom tuner with a tune wrote to accommodate the CAI will be about the same. Only reason I recommend the Gryphon over the others is for the gauges.
