I've asked this question before with no success

Guys/Gals,

What wheels locks are you using for your Saleen wheels? I've had my wheels for years and since I barely drive the truck or park somewhere overnight I really never worried about my wheels but I rather be safe than sorry.

I'm using "gorilla" wheel locks I believe they are called. Work good on my Fuel wheels. Not sure if you're referring to an actual lock or just a lug with a special socket.

None on my stocker 18"
None on my 08fx2 20" either (but have the spline type lug.)

I was referring to a lug with a special socket but now im all ears on this Gorllia lock. What would you guys say offers a lil more security the Gorilla lock or the special lug socket I need to purchase something

I use 2" locks I got from my Ford dealer when I bought my HD lugnuts.

That's what the gorilla lugs are, just longer lugs with a special pattern on them. They have their own socket that has a standard size to remove them with.

Meaning I will have one lug nut longer than the others and noticeable sticking out

Lifted5.4Lariat Apr 5, 2013 09:03 AM

No, all mine are the same length? Probably two inches long each.

pmason718 Apr 6, 2013 03:28 AM

Which ones do you have

worm5932 Apr 6, 2013 06:35 AM

I have had the style with a special socket on my last 3 sets of wheels. Got the last set off ebay.

I believe these are them. Like I said I got them from the ford house (mine had ford packaging}, way back when I went through the rigamaroll with the special harley davidson edition lugnuts. These are 2.25" long which are about the same length as my seated HD edition lugs. I'll try and get a shot of my wheel later to give you a better the idea of the length.

Mcgard makes great products.

But remember, if thieves want your wheels, a lug lock won't stop them.

I couldn't tell you.. Came with my last set of wheels. All I know is the special lug adapter says gorilla on it. They look similar to the one shown above only a little longer and have a star pattern on them vs that one that looks normal.
