I also don't feel that the "ultimate mods list" consists of an Edge, a CAI, blacked out wheels and tint like majority of the posters on this forum do

It's either that or you add an a-pillar gauge pod. The vent is still functional (air blows around the gauge), but you just lose volume of airflow and directional control. I don't mind the installation, but I just would have chosen the far-left dash vent myself. It's a clean install.
