I think it looks good. My wife also struggles to get into mine even though its lowered 2/3. She says its easier when I polish the leather so she can slide in and out.

I never took my running boards off and never will I like the fact that there PTM and look good on my truck and I have a FX2. When you stated the harley mod I was looking for the boards to come out when you open the doors

Oh, I thought that was a lincoln-only thing. Guess I never saw enough harley trucks to notice...

Ya I just sectioned them 2" (and thats the most you can do) so they have the same "appearance" as the harley boards.

Im with you Pmason, ive always liked them and im pretty sure the factory put them on to match the bumper valance...

True...I was thinking of this for if I ever wanted to sell mine...no one else would have running boards like this I could probably get an extra 100 bucks!!

I took my step bars off of my 2wd lariat as well, but you did an awesome job of refabricating those mounts. I found out the hard way that the control arm mounts are the first thing to contact a curb.

Side shot? Did you make them narrower? like tuck under the body more?

Looks good. I'd almost say paint the end caps white too.....

No patman, I couldve pulled them in more but this was my first attempt and I still wanted them to be functional... I may actually shave them later on...not sure yet
