i just purchased tow mirrors. i installed them and the paddle light didnt work. does anyone know how to fix problem?

also the mirrors come heated. how do i know if they work?
i have a 2006 ford f150 lariat.

Not sure if you are wired for the puddle lights on an 06, as far as the heated glass..do you have the defrost switch on the HVAC panel ??

 

Yes. I believe so. Never really noticed. I guess I have to press it to check. And paddle light I read somewhere it might just be moving a pin

 

If you have a Defroster switch on the panel, then the heat should work, as far as the puddle lamp pinout goes, this should help: http://www.tascaparts.com/pages/inde...8&pageid=10207 Someone will have to chime in here as I don't remember which pin needs to be changed out.

 

Thanks I thinks that helps. Read that and picture from Tasca and moving pins confused me. But I think I got it. If u go by Tasca picture u have to move the 16 pin to 1 pin. And 14 pin u have to add a extra pin and wire and run that to the dome light wire.

Another question is do I have to do the same to both mirrors?
