2wd's with lift?

Picture request. Can everybody with an 04-08 2wd with either 4 or 6 inch lifts please post pics of your rides? And some info. Seriously considering lifting my 08 2wd.

:beers:

Why not just look at pics of lifted 4x4 trucks? They look exactly the same as yours would except yours won't have the front pumpkin.

Don't 4wd's already sit about 2" higher then 2wd's? So, in effect, i love the looks of the 4" lifts on 4x4's, so I'd need a 6" lift to get the same look with my 2wd?

I believe the factory height is 76" for 4WD and 73.5" for 2WD, so basically a 2" difference in height. The main difference being up front, as the only real difference in the rear is a 1" lift block (and longer u-bolts) from the leaf springs.

The rear block in the 4wd is either 1 5/8" or 2" That adds a bit of height to the cab. The front shocks are about 1" longer in the 4x4's as well.

Thanks for the info bhall. I too have an 08 STX. Noticed you also have 35" tires. Did you have any rubbing issues at all? Can you, when you get a chance, take a measurement from the ground to the top of the fender? How much was the install?

Any reason you picked the Pro Comp over other lifts? I'm looking at the 6" Skyjacker lift for our trucks. It's about $300 cheaper.

Thanks,
Rob

Edit - did you upgrade the gears at all?

I mentioned most of the height change was in the front. I read that it was a 1" block, but that may be wrong.

Thanks for the pic, nuke!

What's a ruff estimate on installing one of these lifts?

My 4x4 has a 4" which will probably be fairly close to yours with a 6". I wouldn't overthink it that much man.
