2004 F150 Center Console shifter cable boot end

I have a 2004 F150 center console. The transmission end of the shifter cable has a little boot that mounts on/near the frame and other end that connects the shifter cable to the gear selector.

The little boot end has a (now heat disentagrated) plastic snap ring. The shifter cable has popped off and the shifter knob now slides back and forth along the track and will not engage the gear selector.

I've made manual repair w/a zip tie around the boot end and gear selector to keep from having to call for a tow truck.

I'm thinking I can just replace the approx. 6" black housing with boot end???

I'm looking for the name of that part (part number would be very helpful) and any suggestions/tips on replacing?

Thoughts?
