Hello f-150 brothers
I'm new to this but been using it for years now!
I just purchased a 06 Lariat with a 109000 km the check engine light was on when I purchased it. When I got it home I plugged it in to my OBD2 diagnostic tool. The error codes (MIL DTC po020) (stored codes po0020, po345, po349) (pending codes po302, po 345, and po349). When I removed my plastic intake vent, I noticed that my drivers side cam position sensor was not plugged in. I plugged it in erased the codes and took her for a spin, check engine came back on.
The error code was misfire in cylinder 5 and 7, so I changed all the plugs which were due. I cleaned the TB. Now it runs good but when I shift here into gear she stalls. Can It be the cam sensor and is there a way of checking the resistance?

I got it for a good price, and I fixed the CEL problem. Now I cleaned MAF It runs realy well for about twenty minutes, the rpm is a bit low 400-500. It starts up wright away.

Thank you Luis I'm glad to be on the site!
Today was my last big job, I replaced both front hub actuators, and thanks to previous posts the job went really smooth. I just took her on about a twenty mile drive to reset the ecu. Everything is smooth lots of power except she wanted to stall at the stop light (I put it neutral and gave it bit of gas).
I think the problem is the new sparkplugs I didnt use Motorcraft. I used Autolite insted but when I first start it up when it's cold everything is ok and plenty of power on the hwy. I' stumped on this one!!!!!

Welcome!
I cant comment on the problem much, Id say retrace your steps, maybe should have chosen stock oem replacement sparks like motorcraft.. do you have correct gapped plugs? Coil packs ok? Vaccum leak somewhere? Replace. Leave battery unhooked for about an hour. Retry. Hows the fuel filter look? Old? Sometimes they are know to cause issues similar if clogged. Go head and replace it, run in some fresh gas with lucas tune up in a bottle.. why not.

I'M going to replace the Autolite plugs with Motorcraft ones today , and check all of the coil packs. I'll let you know the results.
@ tman07f150, before I started to work on the truck there was no idle and stalling issues, and I did put some lucas injector treatment in the gas.

Okay here's where I'm at, this morning I removed the Autolite plugs and took them back to the major Canadian store that sells tires and told them that the plugs were not good for my truck and Yes they gave me my cash back....
I went to the ford dealership and bought some Motorcraft sp-515's at twenty bucks a pop they better work. I put them in and the truck seems to be running fine. I took it on the same road test and usualy when I'd pull in to the driveway she would die, this time it passed with sucsses.
The moral of the story get the Motorcraft parts in the first place you wont do the job twice.

An update on the low idle and dieing at a stop or a stop light.
It did it again but only once with the new plugs. When it dies it's only when the engine is fully warmed up. Yesterday while I had the COP'S out they were all ok. I checked the resistance of the coils and they were all ok, ( 5600-5750)
Do I have to check the resistance of every solenoid and valve on the engine?

Hey.
Welcome to the site!
Have you changed the fuel filter?
Here is a link to some useful maintenance info you may find helpful.

*EDIT* - just saw this: "before I started to work on the truck there was no idle and stalling issues".
So - did you remove the TB from the intake manifold to clean it ? What did you clean it with?
On the subject of plugs, it's prudent to also change the boots (and remember to use dielectric). Just fyi.
Good luck!
