Need help with dorman window regulator number

My window regulator broke and went to look for a dorman replacement. The part that came out of my 2004 f150 has a round plug in on the motor. There is no pigtail coming off of the motor. The dorman part has a rectangular pigtail coming out of the regulator motor. Any help on this?

Are you sure you got the correct replacement? I just replaced one of my regulators with a Dorman one a few weeks ago and it was identical to the stock one I took out.

What type was the motor connector? Seems like all the ones I have looked at online have the rectangular one.

Just went and looked at my old stock one. It has the rectangular-ish connector with about 4" or so of wiring coming out of the motor. The Dorman replacement I put in was identical to that. Here's a picture of my stock one:

So, are you saying that your stock plug is round instead?

If u unplug it at the regulator motor, it is round there. I did same thing not long ago on 05. Thought I had the wrong part, but just unplugged it at the wrong place.

Oh yeah! That's it. If you look at my picture, you can see how it connects down at the motor at a round connector. Unplug it at the plug I have a picture of. If you unconnect it at the motor itself, it can be pretty difficult to get it plugged back in.
