Oh yeah, 4wd vacuum hub disconnect thingy at ~65k

I had an 04 with the 5.4, zero engine problems in 60k. I did have the transmision replaced at 16k, they said abuse, I say faulty from the start. Replaced it with an expedition that had the 5.4 and put 50k on it with no problems. I just bought an 08 with 85k on the clock and I'm not worried at all.

Good to hear some positive comments. I think you are always gonna hear more negative online.

Hit a really rough bump in the grocery store parking lot, and used that as an excuse to bump my fog lights from the factory 9140 bulbs to the 9145s lol

They do make a difference, too. Fixing to take my truck to Ole Miss country today

I have been a die hard ford man but this 04 supercrew is testing my will. Had the cam phasers replaced under warranty with a little over 20k on it. Now it has 76k on it and they are getting noisy again. I have had the oil changed at the dealer since I have owned this truck. There is no way I defend FORD like this. Had to replace a coil pack and spark plugs at 66k. The truck has a gassy (not raw gas)smell while idling. Cost me a $1000 dollars to remove and replace the exhaust manifold studs on both sides and replace the manifold on one side at 70k. They claim the phaser noise wont hurt anything but try trading it in and see what they are gonna tell you. I got a 05 silverado with 204k on it and it is quieter than the 04 supercrew with 76k.

2005 5.4...Have lost the injectors twice along with the cats, rear axle had to be rebuilt (stuttering) Lost two window regulators, Put in champion plugs (one piece) and other than that the truck has been great. Waiting for the other 6 injectors to fail so I can get a new engine (maybe I will be luck and it will hydrolock)...Love the truck though it is my ride....Has 60k miles

05 Lariat, 109000 thou. It may bite the dust the next time the key is turned but
so far all that's been done is maintenance.

05 XLT 4x4 with 98K - so far front rotors twice. First time under warranty. One injector, driver window regulator and an alternator.
Change oil every 3K haven't done the plugs yet, afraid what that's going to cost.
Nothing major so far - I love my truck

First let me say, I love Ford vehicles but I do not buy any vehicle without an extended warranty. Even my sons 2009 Kawasaki dirt bike has one and I've already gotten my moneys worth for a bad gear bushing in the transmission. Like every brand out there they have problems. If a vehicle manufacturer out there had zero defects, there wouldn't be much competition which translates into lower prices. Now for my vehicles reliability:

93 F150 302 XLT Scab 2wd - Ran fine with minor issues for years until the E4OD got bad. Downhill from there at 195000 miles on her.

95 F250 351 XLT Single cab 2wd - Minor wear/tear issues. Rebuilt the motor at 173000.

01 F150 4.6 XLT Screw 4x4 - Owned 5 years, never had an issue. NOTHING when sold at 146000 on the odometer.

05 Expedition XLT 2wd - Cam phasers replaced, Drivers door window controls replaced. 74500miles.

08 Fusion SEL - Bad calipers in the rear causing what sounded like loose strut mounts/ shocks. No other issues. 42000 miles.

08 F150 351 XLT Screw 4x4 - Had her for about a year. Bad battery, Bad Heater core, Bad HVAC controls, 2 bad fuel pumps. Glad I got the warranty.

Did I miss the memo here? When you're saying 01' F150 "302" and 08' F150 "351"? Because, unless you did motor swaps on the two, those engines were definitely phased out in 96' and replaced by Modulars, which "281" & 331" would've made a little more since to me & I can understand the 93' & 95' year model with those CI, because that's what they had in them. So, where is the 302 & 351 coming from? Please tell me.

Thanks for the education. Guess 4.6 and 5.4 would've made more sense.
