Ball Joint?

Are they hard to replace i have a 04 f150 new body ...i heard somettimes they get stuck and you have to replace the whole lower control arm any tips an tricks would be help thank you !

A Ball Joint Press is needed for replacement and yes they some times are stuck in the arm due to corrosion & dissimular metals,If you don't have access to a Press Just replace the entire arm & be done with it,Carquest Carries the Arm & Other places likely have it too,Might want to check @ Rock Auto too.

I replaced my upper control arm and lower bj with moog greasable ones. I used a press from I reileys and it was a pita. I would just take it to a shop to get the new one pressed in. The upper was a breeze. Just be sure to tighten the rear mounts at ride level to prevent premature failure of the bushings.

u can rent the ball joint press at autozone for free or harbor frieght sells a cheap set. take your time. its not that bad. 2 wrenches out of 10 for complexity.

I rented the press from o reileys and trust me, it wasn't easy going. Even with an air impact.
