What to do with the sides of my truck?

I have a 07 f150 stx that Ive converted into a FX2 basically and with the fx2 chin spoiler it hangs down lower then the sides and I need something to balance it out. Some sort of side skirts are out of my budget so Im looking at steps. I thought about doing black steps but the ones Ive seen give it a cheap look unless its lifted and idk how chrome steps would go with my red and black theme. So what steps do you think would look best?

No steps. Give it a 2/4 drop

Not a fan of sport trucks, but I gave a look online. Doesn't seem like side skirts cost much, if any more than steps. Shipping seemed to be the deal breaker though, and anything officially associated with Ford *cough ROUSH cough* cost more than it's worth

I only thought I had done a lot of switcheroo to MY STX. Great looking truck, man!

Yeah, I have a Black and Dark Shadow Grey theme to my truck, with the exception of my chrome steps and 4" chrome tips. I chose the chrome steps because after meticulously looking over an identical FX4 with the black steps--they just looked cheap. Personally, I'm gonna go with cowboy and say you should look into a drop to even the truck out.

I don't care for lowered trucks, but yours would look great done that way (red always looks sporty, but lowered? Oh boy), and to be honest, if I didn't have shorter passengers, I wouldn't have gone with my steps at all. So, second motion for drop!

Two questions though, what is involved in installing the side skirts? Also is it going to look right if I dont buy the roll pan so behind the rear wheel lines up with in front of the rear wheel?
