Rear end

I'm planing on replacing the clutch pack on my rear end... on my truck and have a few questions.
Would i be better off replacing the rear pinion and side bearing, axle shims just about everything besides the gears when i do this?
And I don't know if you guys would know this but does Tasca parts sell the clutch packs for both sides or just one?
Thanks for your help and any suggestions or helpful hints would be great!

How many miles do you have on it? When you start replacing bearings, you really should ensure the set up remains correct.

It has about 110,000 on it, but the clutch pack and real bad. The grap and release while driving and it does not sound pretty.

I have the same problem with my 2004 fx4 (3.73's) and only 55.000 miles. Hope to get some info in this thread.

do not replace the side or pinion bearings unless they are bad. Your truck has too many miles. If you do you will probably have to get the gears setup again.

BTW did you order new clutch pack? where from and how much?
