new guys FX4 (with pics)

Hey yall, I have been looking around on here for a few weeks now and figured it was about time to post something. anyways, this is my first decent car, i finally was in a position to make a move on a vehicle that was over 1500 dollars so i got this 04 f150 FX4 reg cab. i have been on deployment since last august on the USS Kearsarge but i will be home at the beginning of next month (thank god). i have a 2 inch skyjacker leveling kit sitting at home waiting for me to install it, i have been shopping around for tires a lot, but Im kinda stumped on what size to get with the leveling kit on, and because i want a mud tire but i will be putting some pretty decent miles on them from driving from Norfolk to Charlotte.

here it is

appreciate it, yeah i only got to drive it for about 2 months before i deployed. we had to leave early because of all of the flooding that happened in Pakistan back then. im letting my parents drive it while i am gone so they sent me pictures of it when it started to snow back home. and if anybody has pictures of their reg cabs, feel free to post, im always looking for ideas of things to do to it. so far, i think im gonna get a tuner to help with the mpg's and im gonna loose the running boards.

Bautiful Truck you have there.

Thanks for your service there too. Got a buddy whose new son in law is going over shortly. Newlywed he is ..... gonna be rough on him as some things are just hard to stock up on.

Hey .... maybe it's just me, but I took that pic in the snow and brightened it up and drew some lines on the lower edge of the body, I'ld almost bet that someone has already raised the rear an inch or two.

I see it already has your duals too!

Love the colors.

as far as i know it is completely stock, other than the duals, which are flowmasters that came on, it has a really small block in the rear but i thought that that was factory. i don't know that much about new trucks. this is the first ford i have had, i have a 90 Toyota as well that i play around with on the trails and im in the process of building it.

thanks for the comments

sweet truck! for tires, check out km2's, they are a little more than most but wear well. i also like trail grapplers, had a little over 10k on mine before i sold it and they still looked pretty new.

any pictures of the toyota?

yeah, i really like both of those tires but dang they are expensive, on desertrat.com, they have deals where you can buy wheel and tire packages for a few hundred more...but i dont really know what size to get, but i want to have them waiting for me when i get home haha, i guess im just impatient

here is my yota

it looks a little different now, it has no doors and a little more trail damage, but as soon as the ship pulls in its getting a solid axle front and rear lockers and 5:29's...the parts are waiting haha

Nice.

It'll be nice to see your truck go in stages until complete. Thats the only bad part about this site, you spend alot of money.
