Hell, mine was easy, I went from an S10 to my '04 FX4. I debate on trading in or building up my truck now. But I REALLY like not having a $400+ a month truck payment.

I like your truck and don't want to see it go, and I've never even rode it in

I know the feeling also. I loved the truck and it was basically still new with 20k miles on it. I wanted a bigger truck and paying two notes wasn't an option. Now that the 250 is coming along it's not so bad. I talk to the guy who bought it on a regular basis so I know whats going on with it. He has another truck for a daily driver so it's being used on weekends only just as I used it. He's also 7 hours away so it's not like I have to see it driving around town.

I would strongly suggest that you keep that possibility on the back burner until your much better situated financially.
On a side note. I have done the kid thing 32 yrs ago and I'll take a truck any day ! A trucks is less trouble, alot more fun, less expensive and you can legally get rid of it anytime you want.
Truck will be paid off in about one year, her ring will be paid off in about one year, we just negotiated contracts and are getting a small raise but I have job opportunities with other agencies pending, the ring and truck is about $650 a month, and with a better paying job....so by the time those are done with and I start at a higher pay grade, we can afford to have kids...or (sarcasm alert) I will just let Obama take care of me...like some of my neighbors (never would I let the government foot the bill for my own expenses)

Yeah I love the 150! Now she got the amp steps, bilsteins and hopefully soon she'll get regeared! The only difference between me and HighOn22s in that the 150 does have to be outside at ALL times. Rain or shine. Its not immaculate like it once was, but I do try and keep it CLEAN. Too bad we dont live in the same town. Youd get a chance to see all my "lady friends" hangin out the windows!

I almost bought a new ecoboost as I had a good financial year with $ burning a hole in the ole pocket. VERY nice trucks BUT not $20k nicer then mine. I just changed ALL fluids (Transfer case, rear end, etc..) did my spark plugs and all new rotors/pads, newer tires, spacers up front and the add a leaf (really helps with sag when hooking up to a large boat) and new load leveliong shocks.

So I figure, shes pretty much freshened up and ready for many more miles. Its a great investment when I bought it right 5 years ago and its only lost 25% of its value since then. My 3 kids love it and I need something to pull my boat and get through MN snows. So I decided to keep her and put off a new truck for a few more years. As long as this one stays reliable, I'll own her.

idk you seemed pretty upset when the tan one walked away. Maybe thats why you've learned not to commit 100% emotionally anymore

With gas prices on the rise, money being tight as it is, my pay being all but froze for another two years, a wedding, and possibly kids on the way, it might be time...but why do today, what you can put off til tomorrow Here's to hoping for better luck, cheaper gas, and more money
Put the wedding and kids on hold and keep the truck. You can thank me later...
