stock bfg's?

wheres the cheapest place to buy the stock rugged trail bfg's?

fivespeedsteed Mar 14, 2011 12:03 PM

tirerack.com. you can get 275/70/18s (33's) for 20 bucks cheaper than the stock 275/65/18s (32's) thats if you have 18s of course. tirerack usually has the best prices.

ill usually print out my tirerack prices, with shipping, and go to local tire shops and just see if they can beat their prices. most of the time they cant, but sometimes some of them will have a buy 3 get the 4th tire free deal, then thats cheaper

Why? There are many better options!

i really only need 2 so i need to match them up!

for the price you cant beat going with a 275 wide bfg tire. id really like to go to the 305s, but for another 400 dollars im rethinking it

i found 2 from discount tire for $370 shipped and tirerack was $390 shipped. ill be pulling a 24 ft enclosed with my race car and all tools all summer long so i dont want to get anything bigger

Last year Ford was running a discount on tires similar to what they do with new car sales/leases. All that was required was a pin number, and the tires were discounted almost to cost. None of the major retailer's around my area could come close to it, so I went ahead and had all 4 BFG's replaced on my '06 Explorer. Worth a call if you can get A or X plan. I was ready to put Hankook ATM's, but saved about $80.00 going through Ford and I now have lifetime rotations free.

If you want to match and save $$$$ have you thought about checking to see if your spare is the same tire? You may have a basically new tire under the truck which would mean you only need to buy one. Just a thought!

ya my spare is brand new, guess thats another option

fivespeedsteed Mar 14, 2011 08:49 PM

i think my spare is different than my main 4 though
