Motor Oil.

I currently run Mobil -1 5W-20, and change every 5000 miles. I was wondering with money getting tighter can you switch to Syn Blend like the motor craft 5W-20 it’s less money and I’ve heard good things about it. Thanks.

Same here, and do the 19.99 oil change right at the dealer - can't beat it.

I just switched from Motorcraft full synthetic to Motorcraft blended. No issues and performance is the same. It's def more cost effective.

While i understand everyone wanting to be a bit more cost-conscious, you're really only talking about saving <$10 every 3-5 months over the cost of Mobile 1. Now that being said, I use Mobile 1 full synthetic, but don't feel that it's really that superior to the Motorcraft sythetic blend. I do go 7500 miles in between oil changes, not 5000 so it gets me a little more life for the money. Just my .02.

Ford recommends 7500 mile oil changes these days.

You can do 7500 or 6 months on Motorcraft semi-syn and a Motorcraft filter.
