Opinions on Clearance roof lights............

I'm planning on adding some roof clearance lights. I was thinking what I could do to be a little different. What I came up with was to incorporate a new circuit into the turn signals to drive the outer clearance lights. So they would blink with the turn signals. But I’m on the fence about it. What do you guys think?

I would connect them to the parking light wiring instead.

it would be different but hart to tell till its done. If you have signals in the mirrors i would stay away from it that would be too much blinking....IMO. but to each their own

Not sure what to think...

I guess depending on the truck and it's looks it'd be a nice add-on. All comes down to preference.

They would be connected to the parking wire, They would just blink with the turn signals. I do have turn signals in my Towing Mirrors.

I say yes to clearance lights but no to them being turn signals.

Had a really slow gas pump, so I through them up to see how they would look. Haven't seen them on a DSG truck

Go for it, but I wouldn't make them blinkers.

This is a good point to think about. Overhead running lights are legal but they might have a problem with them being turn signals.

If you're going to make them blink, do somthing cool like a sequential flasher to make them "run" left to right or vice versa. Like the '68 Cougar taillights or the 2010+ Mustangs!

I say no to the blinker idea.

Clearance lights look sweet, blinkers would look tacky in my opinion...

Hopefully the sarcasm in my post was noted . . . I really don't think he should do any blinkers with the cab lights. I actually don't really like the clearance lights on F150's anyway.

Ok, guess no blinkers then. It will be getting a slight lift with new rims a beefier tires. My Rousch rims are total crap and the Perillies or whater you call them are crap. They call them all terains....Yea maby for a rich boys gravel driveway. I've seen more agressive street tires. And decided a year and a half ago it would get a 2-3 inch lift with the new tires.
