Dead horse (suspension 2wd leveling 4wd height
Let's take one more swing at this dead horse. I tried to find something that had this answer in it, but I am still so confused. I am seeing threads were people are saying to reach Stock 4x4 height, they are needing a 7" lift???? Then, I read how the difference in height from a stock 2wd f150 to a stock 4x4 f150 (same style and package) is 1". I have a 2.5" HBS leveling kit on and am putting 4x4 blocks on the back this weekend. Simple question. Will this get me to stock 4x4 height? If someone can give me the height of a stock 4x4 and stock 2wd, I would forever be grateful. Sorry to beat this dead horse, but I can't find the answer in the 350 threads already out there, so I was hoping to just get the answer and be done with it.
No idea where you got the 7" thing from....
4x4s sit about 2" higher than 4x2s.
The setup you described will get you close to a stock 4x4 setup.
The real question is, why does it matter? Are you trying to fit a certain size tire, or do you just want to be as tall as the 4x4 boys?

hahaha Jerk. just kidding. yes, I am feeling inferior to the 4x4 boys. I actually bought the truck for my wife, then she decided she wanted an Acadia (I know), so I took this truck and wanted it to sit higher. I have always just liked the 4x4 look more than the 2wd wimpy look. I already have Toyo 33's and it looks good with the front, but I just needed to lift the back up a little. It is sitting too low for my liking. Just personal preference, that is all.
The 7" thing....yea, that just seemed a bit ridiculous...it is in one of the threads in here...if I get ambitious to go find it, I will post the link. thanks for the help. I appreciate it.

Problem is, once you have it sitting a little taller, those tires are going to start looking small.... I started with just a 2" leveling kit, then bigger tires... Wound up putting a full 4" lift on!

Put a 2" leveling kit in the front and add the stock 4x4 1-7/8" blocks in the rear.. That will get 4x4 height. You can even do a 2.5" leveling kit in the front. This is all assuming you have a 04-08 F150

I have a 1.5" AS in front and stock 4WD block, darn near close to 4X4, actually 1/2" higher in front. 4WD coils/struts are 1" higher than 2WD if that helps, the rest of it is picked up with the slightly larger diameter tire on the 4WD.
3" coils spacer (gave me only 2" of measured height) in the front
3" rear blocks
285/65/18 Hankook Dynapro (these measure with my tape about 31.5" tall and 11.5" wide on the stock wheels...
I sit eye to eye with FWD trucks, and the rear is 1-2 inches taller depending on their tire size...

And YES I'm feeling the lift and larger tires bug!!!
