Ford Bronze Remote Start Installation Questions

I purchased the Ford Bronze RMST from a member off this board. I just have a few general questions. In the manual that came with it, there is a wiring legend, but no wiring instructions. I stumbled across some on this site:
http://www.fordaccessoriesstore.com/GfaWeb/techSpecs.do
As follows:

Are these the correct wiring diagrams to do what I need to do?

Also, I was looking at a thread in the 09+ section and a
Ford PATS Interface/bypass kit, part number is 8L3Z-19G365-BA
Was mentioned. Do I need this for my install? Nothing in the instructions mentioned it, wasn't sure if it was just something that had changed on the new body style trucks. The kit i have included a:
Securilock (PATS) Interface: PIK-4 (P/N: 7L2Z-19G365-AA - included)
Is this the same thing?

Thanks for any help I receive.

Okay, I really hope someone can help me. I have everything completed except plugging it up. It says you must remove the plug from the ignition switch and use the 2 plugs on the remote starter wiring harness to complete it. I can't find any plugs on he harness new ignition that match the plugs on the harness I have. The only plug I have found that matches is the plug for the headlights and its an identical match. I hope someone can help me locate this.

If I remember, the ignition harness is a 8 pin gray connector on the left side of the steering column plugging in the direction towards the rear of the vehicle. You tried that one right?

Well I thought I had looked at all of them. As I remember there were 3 plugs on the left side. There was a long black skinny one about 9 o'clock from the steering column, then above and to the right there were 2 grey plugs stacked. I didn't think either of the grey looked the right size but maybe. I will look harder again tomorrow.

are you sure you have the correct kit for the year truck you have. when i went to ford accessory site and browsed through the different kits listed for truck. none listed were for an '05. there are differences between model years and not all kits will interchange. one of my coworkers learned this just 2 weeks ago installing a ford remote start on an 04 escape with a kit for an 07. fortunalty he was able to get help from the 1 800 number provided in the instructions and he made it work. although it took some doing.

I have ready numerous posts of people with 04, 05, and 06's installing the Ford Factory Remote Smart on their vehicle. I have also looked at after-market sites that sell the factory remote systems and they list them being good from 04-08 year models. This leaves me to believe that the 07 kit should work for any year.

I may have to search for some sort of tech support number. I was just hoping someone on here the installed items like the such for a living would be able to provide me some insight.

I'm at a total loss. I found the two plugs on the left steering wheel. Both are smaller than the harness I have. One plug is indeed the 8 pin like you said, there is also a 10 pin.

The remote start harness has a 10 pin plug, but it is longer vertically than any of these plugs. I'm starting to think I was provided the wrong harness.

Here is the two plugs behind steering wheel:

Here is the harness plugs:
