Well over the weekend my truck got broken into. I was at this fair type thing and when I was leaving and got out to my truck, the front passenger window had been smashed in. All they took was my GPS, iPod, and a bottle of cologne ($5 at walmart
). The cop that showed up was a complete d*** and didn't do anything and proceded to tell me they have 5 or motr break-in's every night. I was pissed after that.
I just always said oh my truck will never get broken into, well after this weekend I am wrong. Now I am trying to get everything fixed and replaced. I am also really considering getting an alarm for my truck.

I would get one, but make sure its a good one with door and hood triggers as well as some sort of vibration set off.
oh yeah, hook it to a set of k3a's
here use this.
Well I got a price to get the window fixed and I am also having the regualtor fixed to cause it broke a few months back. I SO badly wish I could get my hands on the people or person that did this.
I had my previous vehicle ('92 Explorer) broken into while it sat in the driveway overnight, about 2 weeks before I bought my F150. Dumbarses took a broken MP3 player, about $10 in singles from the glove box, and the faceplate off my radio. They left the good MP3 player and $250 headphones, the chronograph, the $1200 spotting scope/tripod, the $400 spotting scope/tripod, the $350 rangefinder and the $400 binoculars. All were sitting in the cargo area, which they obviously went through, as they dumped out a half brick of .22 ammo all over, and moved everything around.
No damage to the vehicle besides having to get new doublesided 3M tape for the ventvisor rainguard. (I had the driver's window down about 3 inches.)
I want to find the people who did it, just so I can laugh at them, and tell them how stupid they were. Even at $.50 on the dollar, they ignored about $1200 worth of "stuff", and got maybe $12 worth.

My car got broken into a few months back, I mustve left the door unlocked when I went into work that night but I swear I seen the lights flash when I thought I locked it... There was no damage to the car and nothing taken that I could notice but Its the piece of mind I lost.
Im so paranoid if I remembered to lock the doors now I physically check them 3 times before heading into work.

Did he leave his name and department phone number?

tenzip...they probably crapped their pants and ran when they realized a serious gun owner was nearby!
My house was broken into a few years ago. The security system was armed and went off... The monitoring agency said the electronic record showed: The door from the garage opened then closed (my son's punk-a$$ "friend" using our code to enter the main garage door). The alarm siren started inside the house. (scaring the crap out of said punk). Then the back door opened and closed. (same punk surprised to see two Dobermans staring at him!) Moments later the front door opened and stayed open. (as punk ran like H E double tooth picks) If only a video system was installed-I could laugh until I pissed myself watching the back door to front door sprint!
The Killeen, TX policeman who responded said "These alarms are always going off for no reason, we're sick of answering calls for them. It was probably the wind that opened and closed the doors." The front and back doors both had full glass storm doors on the outside. Oh, and what about the garage door? (opened and closed itself too, I suppose?)
I hope you have insurance for your break-in. Your deductable will likely be most of the cost though.
A sherriff once told me, "If you shoot them, just make sure to drag them inside the house before you call me..."
