F150 2wd w/ leveling kit...33" or 35" ?? any pics or comments will be helpful

The time has finally come and im over riding on stock wheels and i need to make some decisions. I want to go with 20" XD Monsters and Nitto Mud Grapplers, but after seeing some pics I really want the 35's and dont mind trimming the inner fender. Should i be safe and go with 33's or go with the 35's and not look back if possible. Any pictures of 2wd f150's with 33's or 35's would help out a lot, and any other comments that will lead me in the right direction would be sweet such as rubbing issues and needed backspacing...

What engine do you have? What do you have for gears?

My 2wd has the 4.6l and 3.55 gears. I just have 265/70r17s and the truck is kind of a slug. When I got it it had 275/60r20s (which is about a 33) and was a real turd (acceleration wise). Just something else to consider when changing tire size...

I have 35"s on my truck and I also have the 4.6L motor it isnt a speed demon but it isnt that bad its my dd and it keeps up with traffic just fine.....also I run 265/70/R17 in the winter and it isnt that bad either you gotta remeber the 4.6L motor isnt fast to begin with lol. But since it is a 2wd I would get 33 as they sit lower than 4wd trucks so 35"s might rub...

Ya i have a 4.6L triton screw with the 3.55 gears, its an 08 and my acceleration is great compared to most and it came stock with hankook 255/70/18 i believe.

noregrets, i definitely rushed into buying it because i got a great deal with it, wished i went with a 4x4 and it looks like i'll most likely be putting the 33's on it just to not waste any more cash

i have a 2010 f150 2wd and i just fit 35's with a 2" leveling kit....the tires BARELY rub....the only place they rub are on the upper a-arm ball joint and im running the nitto mud grapplers.....if you didnt want ANY minor rubbing you could get an all terrain and be just fine....the nitto mud grapplers have some meat on the side walls that sticks out, thats why i BARELY rub.....

What part of California are you in? I've got a set of struts with the leveling kit already installed on them. All that you have to do is put them in. No taking the strut apart & having to mess around with a spring compressor.

32x12x20 cooper zeon ltz's with 20x9.5" wheels and -12mm offset. 4.5" offset. 2.5" leveling kit.

plan on adding 7" lift in the front, total of 9.5" in the front, 3" in the rear, and 35's. may run some 2" spacers.

Granted mine is a 4x4 but here are 295's.

Its a 5.4l with 3.55's and it seems to have plenty of pep. I'm also running and edge so I'm sure that helps a little. Imo i would go with 33"s, being a 2wd your not going to have the same clearence as a leveled 4wd. Also, for the most part I believe 35"s look a little stuffed on just a leveled truck. All my opinion though. To each his own!

I have a '10 F150 2wd with a 2" leveling kit....im running 35's on mine but i did have to do some trimming...the 33's would fit no problem but i knew i wouldnt be happy settling for 33's so i just decided i would do some trimming to get the 35's to fit....and im glad i did it...
