2004 Lariat Electrical problems

Hi All, first post here. Been lurking for a while but now have a problem which I can't figure.

the truck had a flat battery last week and I tried to use jumper cables to start it. This didn't work so I took the battery off and put it on charge.

When I refitted the battery the truck starts and runs fine but I have a lot of electrical items which now don't work. Interior lights, Electric windows, radio, all the dash instruments etc are all dead.

Stuff like indicators and windshield wipers are fine and it drives OK.

All help gratefully received. BTW, truck is a 2004 Lariat with the 5.4 Triton motor.

Thanks. Ant.

Yeah, sorry. I checked all the fuses I can find. Mainly the passenger side fusebox. All in there are OK.

Been trying to find any other fuseboxes but nothing so far.

Thanks

Ant.

There is one more fuse box under the hood near the front left you may want to check out. I'm not sure what those fuses are for but until someone chimes in with a schematics its worth a look.Good Luck

OK, after much digging around I found it. Fuse 21 in the main fusebox was U/S. It actually looked fine until I put a meter across it

Took all the fuses out, one by one, and tested them all until I found the blown one.

Thanks

Ant

I hope lesson learned. NEVER eyeball a fuse. ALWAYS use a test light, or preferably a DVM.
