So I just got a 2004 screw fx4. I didn't notice the cluck until I got her home. It allways work lke that.
From a stop if I give it gas I get a cluck. From What I read I need to grease the driveshaft. I'm going to grease that thursday.
Also when on the highway crusing around 60-65 if I floor it the transmission clunks when it's downshifting. Could this be an issue from the driveshaft? Or do I have another problem. I got a drivetrain warranty from my bank so i'm not worried about it failing I just want to know if it's normal or not. I did read that there is a 1 way sparg or socket in the transmission that can cause this and it was normal sometimes. I just don't know.

Mine is doing the same. If you slam on it it feels like its slipping and you feel the rear wheels feel like they are skipping and losing traction when they arent really losing traction at all. I was told this could either be teh coil pack, sparkplugs, or in my case the rear planentary gear (sp).
