I have an itermittent IWE noise. I want to set up an appointment at the dealership to have this repaired under warranty. My question is how can I be sure to replicate the sound? I dont want to go in and have them send it back to me saying nothin wrong could not replicate.

Any ideas?

 

ive got an 05 4x4 that started the grinding noise. it seemed to be mostly on turns. it was intermittent. i put a new solenoid on since the old style is a known problem. took care of the problem. if you are out of warranty why not just replace it yourself and save some bucks. got to be one of the easiest things you can do on the truck. even if its not the problem it would not hurt if you have the old style.
