More lift?

Okay i typed that in a huge hurry, this is my retyped version. I bought my f-150, 2005, before doing too much research. I knew it sat low in the front but to be honest i thought the almighty "leveling kit" and "lowering shackles" would each do there own to level it. Problem is, my truck has never been level (edit: i lied, it was level for like two weeks after the leveling kit was installed, however once it settled it lowered down an inch or so). And i REALLY want it to be either level, or nose high. I currently have a 2.5" leveling kit from hellbent steel. any suggestions would be appreciated. a few of my thoughts:

a. replace 2wd knuckles with 4wd knuckles. that is assuming it would work. any ideas?

b. find a member that bought a three inch level and wants a 2.5" level. Trade.

c. Find a small suspension lift for the front end.

Pics.

Stock stance.

Current stance with 2.5" level.

how it looked right after level was installed, before it "settled". nearly 15k miles ago.

I am in the same boat. I am thinking about trying to sell my 2.5" HBS leveling kit and buy a 3.5" cause my truck is about an inch lower in the front. Btw I love the look of your truck and want to do a lot of the same mods as you have done.

3.5"? I've never heard of that. People start to have ball joint issues with 3" kits so I don't think anybody would even buy 3.5" kits if they existed. Lowering shackles would probably be the easiest and cheapest way to go. I bought a pair for an old Chevy I used to have and it actually had 2 positions to adjust the height with, 1" or 2" drop.

A steel coilover spacer cannot settle.

I agree with Stealth, steel spacers do not settle. Check your coil springs, I bet you broke your coils and thats why you lost some lift.

The pictures are evident that it sits lower now then it did. I will check my coils. How much are they? truck has 128k miles, would replacing them help?

You could go with a OEM 4WD coil/strut and swap out your existing. Should bring it up about 1". I would be more concerned about angles though with a 2.5" spacer plus a 4WD strut. Take a look back using search- there are a couple of good threads on this. Other than that, maybe start looking into a procomp or similar kit.

Sorry guys, I was wrong. It is only a 3" leveling kit, for some reason I thought it was 3.5". From what I heard from other guys is that they put a 1" block in the back and it made the truck level so I don't know if that would work.

Also gcart, how far from Tampa do you live?
