i am going to drop the transmission pan and change the filter. i did the search and cant find an answer as to how many qts of fluid to expect to lose. i know i wont get it all out. my guess is 6 or 7 qts, am i close?

thanks for the answer. i guess i was not off by much on my estimate.

just going to change the filter. i have 60K miles on the truck.

 

I just did mine last week. Took about 5.5qts

 

finally got around to doing the fluid and filter change. took 5 quarts. added some of the lube guard additive for the mercon V that they sell at napa.
