Fuel Filter Blue clips

I see there is alot of stuff on not breaking the blue clip on the filter. Guess what....to late, it broke. I see there is alot of people that said the only way it to replace the line to the tank. Is there a place someone has got theirs from or will the ford garage have just the clips? I might try and grind the clips that came with the filter to make it fit. Don't know why they came in the box if they are useless???

I bought replacement clips at my local Napa, they gave me five for about a dollar. Might as well check out an autoparts store cause they might have something that works.

Good info.

The way to not break the blue clip
is to not touch them. Push the fuel line tool towards the fuel line and the fuel line towards the fuel line tool (the blue clip separates), then pull the filter and fuel line apart. Simple as that and no broken blue clip.
