Ford emblem

Guys just bought a 07 supercrew and both the front and the back ford emblems are pealing and like faded any idea..... And how do you take off the rear FORD emblem.

Mine are doing the same thing, you can get new ones pretty cheap.

The front is held on with a couple of little bolts in the grille, the one on the tailgate im not sure about. The front looks pretty easy though, ive just never got around to it.

I'm pretty sure its just glued on. maybe a heat gun and alot of patients... and dont burn your paint!

The front and back are the same size, both are 9" for emblems, might as well go to a dealer and get it.

you could get it at TACSA but you are only going to save $3-5 at most, then you have to wait on shipping.

try this, or just go to a dealer.

to remove the rear emblem use a heat gun and some plastic putt knifes to help loosen the stick stuff, but you will need a replacement stick pad thing.

I removed my rear emblem which is put on with an industrial strength double sided adhesive with some 20# fishing line. Get it started under one end and using a sawing motion, slowly work toward the other end of the emblem.
Once its off you will have some of the old adhesive material to remove which is a little labor intensive. The new rear emblem comes with the adhesive attached.

Thanks.....seams ford would do a recall on emblems? I wouldn't want my name pealing......
