Remember that in OK, you normally can't find 93 octane, it's usually 91.

BTW, PawPaw you may be unaware of this but he is coming from the state that ones the Turnpike World Title! lol. New Jersey fares are much worse than the Okla. fees, even though I don't entirely agree with the high cost of either. Although if people were charged .50 on every highway they got on in Okla, our state highways would be in much better shape!

I towed all kinds of loads with my old 295/70/17s with a stock truck and had no problems what so ever. If I were in your shoes and worried about the truck I would take the trailer back and get a box truck and either tow or have the wife drive the truck. There is no way your going to get anything near what you have in your tires, and if you go back to a stock tire you will be going to a tire that is most likely insuffisient to do the job.

My $.02

You won't need a brake controller if the U-Haul has surge brakes.

Make sure you correct the speedo/odo with your tuner.

Personally I think a brake controller is a good investment. Ford even included the truck end of the harness since I have a tow package. Then it was simply connect this wire with that wire.

I agree, a wonderful investment. But, like stated above if the trailer only has surge breaks then that controller isn't going to do anything.

how about a full size spare? wouldnt want to be stuck pulling a biger trailer and have to screw with tires on the side of the road. you will only be abble to run that stock spare on the front. plus you could have the problem i have right now a nail in the side wall and a week wait to order a new one i am luck its not leaking yet, plus i dont drive my truck daily.

Last time I checked the stock spare tire was a full size spare. It may not be the exact same outer diameter, but like you said it only involves doing a tire-swap to the front. A tire plug kit and a cheap air compressor are usually pretty good insurance.

I just added that to my list of "items" I'm getting together. Thanks, never thought about that.
