He makes a good point here, as long as you're doing something about it you should be fine!
I like the fact that Amsoil filters are supposed to be really easy to clean and last very long....Not saying any of the other filters don't just stating why I got the EAA200

if you don't want a intake, used or new Gotts is your best be, and a AEM filter, I avoid fram like the plauge, even a good ol motor craft filter would be good.
try to stay away from oiled filters, I hear they could case problems on our truck, but I don't remember if it was from a CAI or stock air box.

-CAI's are claimed to be lean running without custom tunes.
-Drop-ins are rumored to get oil on the MAF, but I still run one, haven't had problems yet.

I have read some very bad things on here and other forums about Fram air and oil filters. I won't ever use them. Some say they are all hype and the el cheapo stuff is fine. But I'd rather spend a little more money and know that I am getting quality. I use only Napa gold oil fitlers. I have used a trueflue air filter, but was not real happy with it. I prefer to stick with dry filters to keep the MAF from getting damaged with oil from the filter.
I would have gone with the AEM dry flow but I couln't find it at a decent price anywhere so I went with Amsoil.
