Smile Wow! Magnaflow

So should I get part number 16518 si/so exhaust from magnaflow. I had a dual on my stang and i just love the sound. Questions... will I get the same deep sound with a single exit, than a dual. I hate having a dual when the two pipes end up uneven, it always happens even over time one sags. I can get the system for about $$520 and I dont have the tools to install it myself so whats a good price for an install at a local shop.

Thanks guys, this forums great!

Can't comment on how it sounds to the one on your mustang, but I wouldn't worry about it "sagging". Who ever installs it can tack weld it in and it'll be solid as a rock. Had trouble with mine moving and got 4WheelParts to straighten it all up and weld it. Love mine. Doesn't move a bit.

Just my 2 cents.

You'll be very happy with the sound. I have the 18" Magnaflow SI/Do on my truck 45'd out each corner and it sounds real good. Minimal drone but a nice rubble when you get on it.

i have the same muffler, si/so 2.5 in and out, one center one offset magnaflow muffler, i got it welded in and i love it. i drive it everyday, its not loud but has a great tone to it. you can always get a single in dual out and just dump it under the bed so you dont have any tail pipe, that would be loud.

Is the sound from a single about the same as from a dual? And decent install price?
I know gains are minimal, but anything?

SISO's or SIDO's never sound as good as true duals, especially true duals on a Mustang. Check out the "Exhaust Bible" in my sig, read all of it.

I love my Magnaflow 16518 sounds great and very easy install. Purchased from performancepeddler.com $409.00. As far as tools go all you need is a socket set. This exhaust fits right where your stock exhaust is no changes needed. Took me 30 minutes after parts were laid out to remove old exhaust and install new exhaust.

Had it installed about a week ago. Love it. Sounds deep and roars great when you punch it. However, at idle its nice and quiet and no drone. I would recommend getting it welded in. The kit is a bit off, had to cut the pipe a little and weld.

another happy Magnaflow customer. glad to hear you like it. I loved the rumble in my old 06 FX4 and my new edge Mustang

going to get a DIDO Magnaflow custom welded on my Expy in the next 2-3 weeks. going to run dual pipes out like the Harley F-150 does though. so it will be a true dual exhaust, just look like a single outlet
