No I was at the one on the Blvd next to the public library, you know what one I'm talking about? Thats where I work as well. Cool to see someone else from Ocala on this thread!

It's sad how some people have to take away things that other people have earned with their effort and time....simply unbelievable with my story and all your stories, it sucks for all of us...but I guess you just can't fix the stupid in people like burglars. The one(s) that broke into mine cut himself and left blood and fingerprints on my truck, window, and back seat...so it's only a matter of a day or two before they get caught which I'm happy about.

I believe what hes trying to say is the insurance company won't be able to tell the difference between you ripping it and the theif ripping it when he broke into your truck. Since they're compensating you for your oakleys and replacing your windows already...

Sorry about your truck. One thing I have found...lifted trucks are much less likely to be broken in to.

Yup...know exactly where that is...I haven't bowled there for years. The parking lot there used to be a great spot to turn around and hang out when cruising the blvd. was cool. That was when it was a Scotty's and not the library and building department. Of course, that was 20 years ago when I was doing that.

I caught the part where YOU said you ripped the seat....I could have sworn you said the THIEF did that though. It certainly seems plausible to me...

Man, that sucks. Sorry to hear about your truck. The idiot may already be in the system so hopefully they'll get him soon. Honestly, who thinks of stealing a pair of shades at night? Smh.

lmao...yea I get it now...thanks guys. We're gonna try to get the insurance company to believe that the seat was ripped by the thief(s)...should work

Well got the window all bandaged up, of course it looks like its gonna rain tonight....that WOULD happen. My luck haha. Should be fine though. Calling the insurance company tomorrow about estimates and what they will cover...or what they BETTER cover. Other than that I still get to drive my truck

and to whoever(sorry can't remember user name now) said that lifted trucks are harder to be broken into...or something along those lines..I agree definitely and I REALLY wish I could have a lifted truck but it is what it is.

That's unbelievable man, terrible. Some people just don't have sense....I could never steal from someone, no matter how bad I needed something...it just makes me shake my head thinking about it. Hope his insurance helps him out with what happened man, that sucks.

he has liability so im not sure, but i dont think there is anything that can be done..they asked about serial numbers and everything but he said he isnt really worried about the sound system stuff because it was all cheap anyways..but we got it to start today..not just needs a window and a good cleaning..

gonna shampoo the carpets because the WHOLE ride it rained..so it smells kinda raunchy in there!

Called the insurance company(state farm) today, they're going to cover the window with no money out of our pockets but for them to cover the tear in the leather and my oakleys, we'd have to pay our $250 deductible...which is something my family nor I can really afford right now. So I guess as long as the window gets fixed, it'll be good. I'm still pissed about it all though, haven't heard anything about if they thief(s) got caught or not yet. Will be getting a Viper alarm system and console lock in the next month or so when money is around.

Not to be a kill joy, but this is the real world and not CSI. Leaving blood doesnt mean anything unless he has been convicted for another crime where DNA was required to be drawn (murder, rape, etc.). They just dont have the resources to do DNA sampling on smaller infractions. I have my masters in forensic science, just so you know Im not some hack.

Oh, just read they have fingerprints. Now that is a lead, since EVERYONE that gets arrested gets printed. Good luck man!

I f'ing hate thieves, the lot of them should burn. I had my truck broken into in N.O. They took my ipod, but I guess they didnt see the glock 23 and benilli. Idiots, but was very thankful my guns werent going to be used by some crack head.

Hate to say it but it could've been a whole lot worse. Years ago, my Mustang GT had the passenger side locked popped out, damaging the door. All they took were some CDs and leather checkbook wallet...guess they thought it had cash in it. The time and effort and money to get the new lock cylinder, body work, paint, yadda, yadda, yadda, made it one expensive pain in the butt. At the time I wished they just broke my window!!

Work some overtime and get yourself a state of the art alarm system...at least you'll hear 'em next time!
Good luck man!
