Took the truck out for the Canada Day weekend camping but it didn't want to go all the way home
... This little guy is the culprit ..bad FPDM, literally was falling apart in my hand when I pulled it off
..so I ordered a replacement from Amazon with 1 day shipping while I waited for my ride home - 160km and 2.5hrs piggy back on a flatbed wrecker

I pulled the rusty painted bumper off my 2004 F150 heitage and wanted to temove the bumper pads. Some guys said it was near impossible to remove the cips without breaking them. Others suggested using a needlenose pliers and carefully lifting the pad. I removed mine easily in 5 minutes. Here's what I did. The needle nose pliers didn't work as the pressure was uneven. I sprayed the tabs with silicone (like armor all). This provides a little lubrication. I heated the tabs with a hair dryer to make them more supple. i used channel lock pliers which gave a better attack angle and applied pressure evenly to the tab. I inserted a 1 inch wide chisel to pry the pad up while I loosened grip on the pliers. If you don't ease up on the pliers, they will lock the tab in place and you can't budge it. Not sure if the silicone and heat were necessary, but the pads came off without damage.

New speakers
Finally got ged up with the horrible sound from my stock speakers, so I go to Crutchfield online and ordered two sets of...JBL Stage 8602 6"x8" 2-way car speakers.
Installed them last Friday...took about half an hour for both front and rear sets.
Music finally sounds like I remember!!!
