just drove it. hey 4x4 guys with the non manual 4x4, how do you guys put your trucks into 4wd. every time i do it, i switch the switch, then put it in neutral, then reverse or drive, but then when i start giving it gas, its in 2wd for a little bit then jerks when 4wd engages. is there any way to do it smoother?

I just keep it in gear with it rolling and foot out of the gas......sometimes I hear and feel it engaged a bit harsher but that's when its really cold....

i dont think ill keep it in there. so i just used velcro and put it under the radio for now in that cubby hole. but if i do keep it ill be adding a voltage gauge and maybe a exhaust temp as well. when that happens ill move them to the a pillar. i just cant find one i like to well or it would have been done already!

Put $140 worth of gas in and installed my K&N. Checked tire pressures - doin' everything I can to help my mpg lol. Sad part is I have a ton of yard work to do so to spite it being a great day that's all I have time for today

With truck in Drive and foot off the gas, either while rolling or stopped, switch to 4HI. Usually takes anywhere from instant to 15 seconds for the light to come on. In Neutral and stopped, switch to 4LO and wait till the light turns on before putting it into Drive.

I received my GoRhino centre only push bar. I don't like the guards that spread out over the headlights. Hopefully will get to install it tonight.

but even after the 4wd hi light has come on, if i accelerate then, it starts to go then bumps into 4wd. like you get the back wheels to spin a little then wham, it hits 4wd. i want to get it into 4wd, like truly so that when i get on the throttle , its just in 4wd, no horsecrap.

washed it the other day, got armorall on the wheels and handles and stuff. probably means it will rain soon. ugh.
