Well I better have gears by Xmas cause my tranny downshifts EVERY time I get on the gas at all while cruising on the highway, go up any kind of grade, etc. So that's got me worried about its health, 3.55s sure don't like those tires. And my dented front bumper is super annoying. The lights and mirrors I can live without for a while.

I blew up my engine on Monday, cylinder 6 is dead.

debating to spend $6500 for a forged engine or selling as much as I can to build a car

Knew/told ya that was too much boost! Sucks to her though, man.

IMO, you've spent so much already, might as well drop a forged motor in there and be set. You'll lose your butt trying if you part her out.

Got my truck back from the body shop today. I hit a deer about 2 months ago and the truck needed a new bumper, paint on both fenders and the upper bumper cover, and a new brush guard.

Yea if you could I'd get the gears as soon as you can instead of waiting till christmas. My brother lifted his dodge and put 35s on it and still hasn't regeared it. Its just causing more and more stress on the transmission and motor, already had to replace a good bit on it

Was driving home from Lunch / doctors appt with the wife (Boss ran me out of the office for the week, too many hours...) got in the truck and it wouldn't start, put in neutral and it started, but wouldn't go in reverse. Was able to drive straight through and get home. Took a look and found the shift cable had been laying on the upper catalytic converter for quite some time, and had melted through about 4" of housing, so every time it tries to push out, the cable just bows out at that point. Called around and found tons of generic cables. Ordered a Ford OEM but have to get it tomorrow...

Yeah, now it's not so much spending the money on gears as it is finding a time when I can do without my truck. Plus I gotta find a shop at school to do it, and I'm still not even up there yet haha.

Okay so I waited until the rain stopped, couldn't wait for it to dry up though, went out, and finished adjusting up the shift cable...

The process is somewhat painful trying to get to the locking clips.but all things considered, it beats the snot out of pulling the tranny again...

Turned 123k miles the other day. I also finally after a year of procrastination, ordered the flank 194 LEDs from V-Leds.com for the plate lights in 6000k. Wow these are very bright. I have never seen an LED actually emit light brighter than a factory bulb so well. They usually just "beauty" it up in a lower lumens manner. Very happy I bought them on the Labor Day sale. Here is the link.

When you get good ones, they're brighter My "level 5" ones from VLEDs are all bright as hell.
