Edge hard downshifting?

I have my shif points set at 12 12 and 9. When I floor it to pass it downshifts so hard it feels like its going to snap the driveshaft in half. Anyone else notice this?

you stiffen up your shift points and then complain because its stiff? i dont get it? are you complaining or happy? wouldnt you want it to shift quick/hard when you "floor it to pass"? im lost.

so your asking if, at the level you have your shift points, the "snapping" of the transmission is normal? mine is set on 0 for the shifts, as i dont like a jerky quick shift. even at these levels though, if i really get on it the transmission will shift pretty hard compared to the stock truck shifting with out the edge. Not sure if mine is even normal, as i have read complaints that some peoples trucks will shift extremely hard with the edge on, as in hard enough for to fear that something will break, while others shift very smooth but quick. short of 3500 rpm my truck shifts perfectly to me, smooth but fast, best described as a "firm". anything higher in the throttle though and there is a definite snap that im not a huge fan of.

wow... both nerdy and funny

I run my edge on the stock level 2 settings and it shifts pretty hard when I'm running WOT.

Like the others said... back down the shift hardness...

Ok makes sense, I just found it odd how hard it downshifted, wasn't sure if it was normal.

Sounds like you are doing 4-2 down shifts. If you are it will be a hard down shift. click the O/D off and it wont do it
