Happy day 2 mods done!!!!!

1- K&N COLD AIR INTAKE 57-2556 from ebay 249.99. very easy to install tooke me abou a 1 1/2 hours.

2- Flowmaster Super 44 Mufflers from ebay 79.99 + pipes, tips and labor 299.99 from local shop.

That's how sounds:

This is my truck: 2006 F150 XLT 1/2 ton with plow pack. and crome pack.
Monday will be tires i bought LT275/70R17 (32.2) GOODYEAR WRANGLER ATS from DISCOUNT TIRES $707.00 with free replacement certificate (I want 285/70/17 but need new rims), I have 245/70/17 (30.5) General graber(garbage )on my truck now, the new ones will be installed monday. I still need new rims but the money is gone.

I felt the difference, before I used to cruise the freeway at 70, my truck was dragging, today I drove at the same speed with less than 2000 RPM (truck was lighter). I was very pleased . Don’t know yet about the savings on gas mileage, I will know in about 2 weeks or so. Do you think this setup will help me on my gas mileage?

I think those 2 mods was a very well spent money(my wife don't think so and too late now). What do you think?

I think its great, but unless your tranny is slipping, your RPM's will be the same no matter how much power the truck makes or how much weight is in the truck. That is assuming the converter is locked and you are achieving and maintaining OD.

There is no way a 1/2 ton 4wd 5.4L 3.73 will turn over 2000rpm at 70mph stock. 4.10 gearing wouldn't even be more than 2100. You must have not been holding Overdrive before. Get a custom tune now and you really feel the power.

Thanks Darenws6 for your contribution, I was feeling the dragging on my truck for long time (this is a heavy and long truck)and I maintaining it very well, my tires wasn't helping it either. I think you are right about the overdrive but the feeling in overdrive is noticeable, I am going to use overdrive tomorrow just to check if is working. The custon tune is my next target , have to save money but which one do you recommend. Thanks again.
