Thanks, it doesn't have any sparkplugs. I was just curious what his nightmare was. The story sounded like it had a happy ending.

All jokes a side. Im going to do what i said. As everybody else has said. Quintin is a Ford Tech and he does it with great success. So i figure im going to give it a shot.
It certainly seems that an impact gun would increase the likelihood of the plugs breaking.
I'm sure if you used a air impact you could increase the likelihood of breaking a plug.
Im not sure what Quintin's whole procedure is? Maybe he could chime in again and give use a step by step on what he does.

Here, I just went ahead and found it. Quintiin is a man of few words unless he is talking about music or idoits. In response to the question of how many, he said maybe a dozen.

You do. All new body style since 2004 has it, if it's a 5.4.

Since this thread got bumped I'll ask my question:

How long should the plug changing procedure take? I dropped my truck off last friday morning with 105k miles on stock plugs for the 100k mile maintenance (plugs, fluids, brakes etc), they said they could have it done by the end of the day, maybe saturday morning at the latest. Got a call saturday afternoon saying it wasn't done, they broke half the plugs and needed to keep it until monday to get them out because the procedure is long and tedious. Come Wednesday morning it still wasn't ready, I haven't even bothered calling back yet because I'm so upset. He said one of the breaks was the "worst kind of break" which means they either broke one way in the back or they broke it at the porcelain which would be very bad news...

bleh. I had them put Champions in. No point in replacing a problem with the same problem.
