2" level question
2" level question
I tried the search but couldn't find my answer...I've got a 2" level waiting for me to have some downtime to install it....question is: I'm looking at going with a 18x9" wheel and 325x65x18's...which would work better, a 4.5" BS or 5.7" BS?
Those tires are 35x13x18 and to get them to fit on 9 inch wide wheels you would need a ton of trimming and they still may rub when turning.
Check mine out. Same 325-65-18 tires on 18x9's. I did 2.5" level and had to do a trim and pin back of the liner on the cab side of the wheel well. I would think you would have more trimming if it fits at all with the 2 in level. Mine is 2007, I didn't see the year on yours. Look at my pics and you will get good idea. I think it would be really pushing it with that tire size and a 2" level and either back space.

A 2 1/2" or 3" kit won't help you very much in this case.
Those 325/65/18's will require a ton of trimming/cutting with 4 1/2" backspacing on 9" wide wheels. The biggest you can fit "comfortably" would be 325/60/18's or 33/12.50/18's and they'll still require some trimming. If you really want to run 325/65/18's stick with the 5.7" backspacing.

You'll still need to trim the lower bumper valence and possibly some of the inner fender but nothing really serious unless you off-road your truck hard.
