Do the 2.5" leveling kits hurt MPG's that badd??
Just wondering if leveling kits can hurt gas mpg's that much by taking the "rake" away from the factory strut setup???

I think there may be an aerodynamic factor, but usually it's the larger tires that get put on after the leveling kit that do the mileage damage.

anyone else have input???

I added a 2.5 and 305 20's and noticed little to no difference.

The leveling kit really will not do anything to your mileage. I ran my 2.5" kit for a year with no other mods. I did not notice any difference. Once I put on my 33's? Then that is another story!

Like many have already stated.
A level kit on its own will do [almost] nothing to your MPG. But rarely, if at all ever, will someone level their trucks without the addition of a wheel and/or tire combo. That's when the MPG numbers may change significantly.... dependent almost entirely on what wheel/tire package you so desire. |

I have a 2017 Lariat with 3.5liter,355 rear gears,scab,etc.FX4,7000# GVWR package
Was wondering about lowering the rear,to look level with front. wondering about pinion angle changes, rear shocks bottoming out....etc and gas mileage, using stock wheel/tires = 275/55R-20 BSW All-Terrain[factory wheel+tire for Lariat special edition I would like the truck level, but not at the expense of ride, handling, fuel mileage ..... thank you |
