NEW TRUCK OWNER home from Aghanistan

hello all i have an 08 STX black with flowmaster 40 and sounds great, i was wondering if its worth getting a front end leveling kit and bf goodrich all terrain tires sized at 265/65R17 with stock rim look ok....also i was wondering if anyone knows if there is a website where you can look at stuff like that before you purchase it. i have had the truck for two years and just got back from Afghanistan and have some time to do some upgrades and i dont want it too high and no huge tires , just as long as it looks good and not stock i would greatly appreciate any help as i am returning to Afghanistan in the near future and would like to drive around in a nice looking truck...

Thank you.

a 2" leveling kit with 33's would look good. it would give you a nice leveled stance. i personally would swap out the wheels but to each his own.

thank you again.

Go with a leveling kit and some 33s or 35s or go with a small lift and get either 4-6inch on 35s as well.

I just got back from Iraq a month ago. Sure was nice to get into my truck again

Welcome and thank you for serving

Best way to figure out what you want is to search around the forum and look at pic's of other peoples setups and work your way from there.

If it's a 4x2 you can fit up to a 285x70x17 if it's leveled. A 4x4 leveled you can fit a 295x70x17 easily on the stock wheel's with no rubbing. Welcome back and thank's for your service.

This website is all you need to find out what will work and what looks good. I came to Iraq with the intent of saving up some money and blah blah blah, well, then I found this forum and now I have a few thousand dollars worth of parts sitting back at home just waiting to be opened.

I had the exact same thing on my 07 black XLT SCrew. Thing looked good, but I'd bump it up a bit if you're leveling.

As others have said, Thank You for you service! Also, welcome to the site. Are you stationed at Bragg?

Look through some of the threads here and you can get a bunch of good ideas. I'm running a 285/65/20 tire, which is about 34.7" tall, and I have a 2.0" leveling kit.

What size tires are you running now? Personally I'd prefer something closer to 35" than 33", but either should fit with a leveling kit and stock wheels.
