aux input in tray
Just put an aux-input in the dashboard tray.
I was going to buy a new one with the aux-input built in but tried this instead. Got it from www.boatersland.com $9.00 Don't know how to post a picture in a thread There are some in my gallery. |
That's pretty cool. What kind of connection goes to the back of the radio?
|
Found out about and installed a P.I.E. FDR04-AUX using info from one of the many threads about radios without an aux-in location. Plugs right into the P.I.E.
Thanks to the guys who provided the info about it. |
Is this the one you got?
|
yup
|
Does this automatically add an AUX channel on the OEM radio??
|
Yes, when you plug it into your P.I.E. FDR04-AUX.

Before i switch my OEM headunit for an aftermarket. I use that kind of AUX input jack:
http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=1324 Pretty easy to install. Just drill a 3/8" hole wherever you want it and run the wires to your P.I.E. or other brand AUX adapter and that's it. Here's what it use to look like: http://img111.imageshack.us/img111/1541/p10200062.jpg |
Neat o

I dont think it works if you have the factory Sirius though, because that goes through the aux input.
